you cant rub it off with some oil and a terry cloth?

Well my point was that is stands for water displacement which is supposedly the same concept behind pb blaster.

i aint liking this guys. terry cloth + oil, carb cleaner, or pb blaster isnt wiping it off. the truck will run tomorrow. i figure the pistons can clean off the cyl walls better than i can.

with genI motors it wasn't anything to worry about if it was only from a day or so. Did you try brake cleaner? Unless it's a bunch I wouldn't worry about it, but I'm no guru lol. funny thing you mentioned wally world, the other day they carded me for buying sharpies and not a can of carb cleaner. pretty ****** stupid.

Terry cloth isn't rough enough. Try a ScotchBrite pad wetted with the PB Blaster.

hose it down with some WD-40 or put some oil the walls and spread it around with your finger . . . unless the rust is "flakey" don't worry about it.

ive already decided that its starting tonight. all i gotta do is drop on the heads and top end. injectors are already swapped, gaskets and bolts are here, its all down hill from here.
