That's a great price! Do you have a part number, and are they encapsulated?

Thanks!!

Are we sure we arent just getting hung up on a "buzz" word here?

Encapsuated is a big word for "surrounded". I dont see why you would want the skirt of teh lifter to come down too much furthur than teh center of the rolleranyway. All of the force is exerted upwards in teh lifter anyways, with "some" side loading.

Grippy I've got a possible solution for rockers. Call me at the shop and I'll elaborate.

The encapsulated design is supposed to be stronger than the original design, where the lifter was prone to cracking by the roller in higher HP applications. (from what I've read...I don't have first hand experience)

I figure if GM actually took the time to re-design something (actually add metal as opposed to making something cheaper), then that's the design I want to go with.

IMO, Comp 850's will more than suit any horsepower pushed on this forum... given a not too insane spring pressure. 875's are a pain in the ***... Morels are just as finicky... if not worse.
Just IMO... I would change the cam if looking for more effective lift. Installing more aggressive rockers, especially ones not desgined for the LS1 style 15 degree heads, can become more of a headache. Again, IMO.

If you ever seen the aftermath of a stock lifter going south, you wouldn't want 'em

Needle bearings everywhere... ewww.
