Stock 6.0. should I put 5.3 heads on it or leave 317s with nitrous.

Default 5.3 heads

aren't the vavles smaller in 5.3 (706) vs 6.0 (317) .i wouldnt trade valves for compresion.

Have the 17's milled to bump compression up, have a mild job done on them IMO. It will save ya a few bucks vs buying a new set of 2.5 heads. Unless the 5.3 heads you have are the 799/243 heads.

I was thinking of Buying a new set of the PRC 2.5 5.3l cnc ported heads. with 56cc chambers. to bump it up. can I have the 317s milled enought to bump the compression up? I don't know what is to much for 317's. but I do know that a stock lq4 will be a dog with lower compression. I'm bummed because the day before I went and bought my LQ4 they sold a LQ9 with 70k on it for the same price

Milled 243s any day. 317s arent bad at all though. You can just get them milled.

the ported PRC 5.3 heads will definately be better than a set of stock 243 or 317s
You will also have alot more compression with the prc heads

All in how much you want to spend and your goals
