Default Still oozing oil???

Haven't been under the truck in 4-5 months. I had wiped any oil off the back of the motor and oil pan 2-3 weeks after pulling the trans. Checked on it today and it is oozing oil just sitting there. There is a little oil on the lip of the bellhousing mating surface below there. There is oil all over the rear of the oil pan and on a knock sensor wire that is cable-tied to the head gasket at the rear of that cyl head. Where the heck is this oil coming from?

Mine does that and I can't stand it. If you still have the tranny off, reach in by the cam sensor and see if it is coming from there. You might even want to apply a light amount of compressed air to the crankcase to see if you can see it leaking. I'm interested in you findin out, I would love to fix mine too.

Rear main has been dry and it seems to come from above the bellhousing. No cam sensor back there(LSX block), but I have been suspicious of the valley cover, particularly since I had the the oil pressure sensor bung moved back on it to clear the intake. Still don't see where this much oil would come from just sitting. You can't see it well in the pics, but the rear of the pan is all yellow and there are drops of oil on the corners and rear pan bolts, with a puddle in the frame connector. The only reservoir of oil up top that I can think of would be what sits in the valvetrain area of the heads.

Found some oil sitting around the injector bosses on the intake on the drivers side. This side was always dry before. I guess now that I finally got the passenger side valve cover sealed up, it decided to start pushing out the other side. Will have to try the same as I ended up doing on the other side...run a bead of RTV around the inside of the gasket and let that cure before installing the valve cover.

Also wondering about possible seepage around the intake bolts. Noticed that those holes are drilled right through into the pockets in the heads where the oil pools and drains back into the crankcase. I am modifying some LS9/LSA intake gaskets to use with my setup and see that the seals extend around the bolt holes...not that those holes are any use to me with my ETP LS7 style heads. I had been using the Felpro paper gaskets. Probably didn't help that my intake bolts loosened up too.
