Default Stage 2.5 heads with no tune ok on 5.3L????

I just received my stage 2.5 heads in today. I was wondering if I would notice any power with bolting the new heads on now with out a re tune, and getting the the cam later down the road.

Or wait to put the heads on until the cam can be installed as well with a tune?

The truck already has longtubes CAI and custom dyno tune

The heads will change the volumetric efficiency of the engine so yes a tune is needed to get the full potential. But for the work you will go thru just to install head, id wait till you have a cam so you can do it all at once

That's what I thought I'm just so excited there here I want to put them on!

Should I get them milled?

whats the highest/safest compression ratio to run 87 octane with a custom dyno tune?
