I am going 408 in my silv SS.
I have been looking for a good build on a budget.
I have seen a few great deals online. Texas speed has great pricing but,
Prefer to meet a local machine shop builder.
Anyone have any local ls1 engine builders.
I am gonna call golen engine service.
I didn't see SLP offering LQ short blocks any more.

 

I tried to find someone local to me too but ended up going with TSP.

 

also try Bouchers racing engines in rowley MA ive had them do a few of my motors very nice people to deal with

 

Rowley is local. I'm gonna call them up. Did you get a ls1 motor from them.
Local is nice but it's hard to compete in pricing. I got 5.5k quote for something I can get mail order and have a warranty. 400$ or less shipping for most places.

 

i dont think they do crate motors i know golens does but ive heard some horror storys about them over on tech
