Rotating Assembly
#1
I was just wandering who is running a texas speed rotating assembly? I'm looking into the 383 stroker for my 5.3. Any input would be appreciated. Or if you would go a different route just looking for some advice I am saving up now should have the money by may. Also this is going to be a nitrous motor.

just a suggestion . . . but for the money that you're getting ready to spend for "stroking" a 5.3 . . . . you can spend almost the same money and have the same process done if you start with a 6.0L
Just get a bare block, nothing else.

I also want to do a iron 383...ebay has some balanced eagle kits with probe pistons for $1800...The Texas Speed kits are good, but not balanced...
-FWIW..I want a 383 or 5.7...not interested in a 6.0...kinda weird i guess

-I also like a bunch of the smaller bore/205 cc heads...and I have a maggie 112hh that would not feed a 402/408...and I probably want to use it..
-So in my case its not weird or retarded..just what works "best for me...and perhaps the OP..exactly why I never assume or push my OPINION on anyone..
-Never said a 6.0 had a downside...all what your circumstances are...

9.5:1 to 10.5:1 depending on how big a shot your going to run, with computer controlled EFI you dont have to run your compression as low...make sure you get some Nitrous rings when ordering...
