Default rocker arm question

I changed the cam and springs but when you change the rockeras do I use the guides that came with the rockers and how do you install them correctly . Do I still use the plate the mounted between the stock arms and heads
Just confused on what to use and how.

How about what kind of rockers do you have? That may help.

I don't know for sure since I've never seen the kit but since no one else is piping in I'll add something. I don't think you reuse the factory lower alignment plate. Do some searches on LS1tech and LS1howto.com

No you do NOT use anything factor. You put the guide plates on with the studs through them into the factory rocker bosses and then put the rockers on the studs set valve lash and tighten down the poly locks.
