Default replacing heads maybe...?

I pulled my driver side head to attempt a broken manifold bolt removal. which was obviously unsucessful i even brought it to a friend that owns a mechanic shop and he couldnt get it out i think he fucked it up even more honestly. so if i decided to go ahead and swap heads while i have the engine apart what would be my options? and what all would i need to run the different heads? I'd like to swap to a set of heads that would give me better performance but also allow me to use my stock cam for the time being until i can afford a different one. or if there is a set of heads that work well with the LS6 cam and springs (which i can generally find pretty cheap) i can afford that right now? also keep in mind my truck has 16" of lift 41" tires and 5.13 gears so I'm looking for torque as more so than HP

I think Stock 243s will yield you a little bump in performance. Should be able to find those pretty cheap. I'm pulling a set off my truck, but not for a few weeks.

one thing you should consider is that the LS6 cam is more of a top-end performer

low duration, high lift of the 204/218 .550/.550 ls6 cam has proven a great upgrade for the trucks. especially in forced induction but n/a as well. its a great all around cam. i say go for the 243 heads with 02-04 ls6 cam

I picked up a set of 706 heads for $40.00 last weekend. My plan is to port, polish and I am upgrading to Ferrea 2.00 intake valves. This should compliment the new cam well.
