replacing camshaft
#13
i read through the online version, and yeah i saw that the lifters are different.
good idea gm, but shame on them for making it such a pain in the *** to remove.
i've already got the cam and springs so i'm just going to try to piece together the rest of that kit. thanks for your help.
my problem now is figuring out what length pushrods i need. i really have no idea whats currently in my engine so i've got nothing to compare new parts to.

I'm guessing 7.4 also since you'll be using the LS7 lifters. If the truck can be down for a few days the best thing to do is measure, but I know for sure that more than one performance enthusiast has installed that cam in their rig and should know for sure. If you can't find anything through searching here, try SilveradoSS.com, as I know that a bunch of guys there have run that cam at one point or another.

if you're keeping the DOD
4 trigger LS7 cam sprocket (cam gear only, not crank)
3 bolts for the cam gear
if you're getting rid of the DOD
new lifters
new LS2 valley cover
new head bolts
new head gaskets
