Default Rate my sparkle

So a few weeks ago my clutch slave went out on my RCSB and I've been procrastinating on dropping the trans. Finally got around to it and decided to change the oil as well. This oil has about 150 miles of driving and a good amount of idle time on it. This is the second set of oil to run through the motor. The first was break in oil that was changed after the first 20-30 minutes of break in and some idle cycles.

The drain plug had a little bit of fuzzys on it but nothing bigger than just a sparkle.

I ordered an oil filter cutter and saved the filter to cut open when it gets here.

So no flakes or pieces? Keep in mind ARP assembly lube turns oil metallic also. It takes a bit for the excessive arp lube to wash into the oil. It has to get good and warm. You first oil change didn’t get that hot with that short amount of time on it.

Did this motor get new rings and honed?

Nope no flakes or pieces at all. I ran my hands and a magnet through the main drain pan full of oil and this little one from just the filter. I didn't think about the ARP lube that's good to know! There was one small piece of RTV I found likely from the oil pan.

Cut the filter and see what you find. I cut all my filters, even on my daily. Why not. A oil filter cutter works great.
