pushrod length? 5.3 w/ ls6 heads
#1
Wondering if my stock pushrods will work on a 5.3 with ls6 heads. Will be using stock head gaskets and the heads have never been milled. Stock cam. I don't want any excessive valvetrain noise... i want the right parts from the get go. This is my only driver so i don't have time to be down to check length then order them. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Apparently there is an early and later style ls6 heads... i have no idea which ones i have. I guess they have same casting number etc. At least that's what scoggin dickey techs told me. Now i feel like i made a mistake getting these heads. Cause i don't want to shell out another $400 for pushrods! Purchasing these was to replace the bad 706 castings. I hope someone can help me.

These are the 243's. But someone was saying the valves are longer to make up for the small base circle cam. So you think my stockers will be right?

I figured that would be everyones opinion... spring for the cam, pushrods, springs, etc. But doing these ls6 heads is to replace the bad 706 castings. So this is more of a have to do project, instead of just for fun searching for more power. But i appreciate all the help. I did pop for arp head bolts and all new belts and hoses
