I know that the newer 5.3's have the seals/seat intergrated and you cant run the required spring seats that came with the dual springs because of this. I ran into that problem when installing mine and had to use an early style seal with the included seats.

My truck has the early style seals... but you have to use their spring cups.. the cups will not fit down over the seal.. but there is a small "step" .05 or so where it centers up on the valve guide.. My truck is an 02 1500 so it has older design seals.. So.. spring cups.. then seals... double springs... They didnt exactly fit like a glove.. but i didnt expect that since they are pretty heavy duty next to the stock stuff.... I am going to go with that Link.. its EXACTLY what i have going on.. All the intakes are pushing the bearings out ...

I had some rocker arm trouble a while back. It happened twice, and this is what it looked like.

that looks like it could cause some oil consumption
