piston to valve clearance ? for Lq4 going together
I have a question for you guys regarding piston to valve clearance. I am running a stock lq4 shortblock with -8cc dish pistons, .041 head gaskets and a set of 243 casting heads milled .025". My question to you guys is I'm going to be running a 218/224 .590/.600 114 +2 cam. What I'm wanting to know is has anyone put anything like this together and if so, is, was, or will there be enough piston to valve clearance without having to flycut the pistons? I don't exactly feel like doing this and I'm contemplating redesigning the camshaft with less lift if I have to. Any input is appreciated.
