well with the 223 225 564 571 114 cam I pulled a 1.73 60' and the same with the 226 226 585 585 112 cam, ran a quicker 1/8th mile and a better 1/4 mile time, now not by much but with a 2500 stall getting me off the line with this BIG cam as everyone says it does very well, I say put it in there, it won't pull as high as 6800 but it will spin very well to 6500.

I just noticed its a 4.8L, well that changes every thing lol, you will need a 3500 stall for this cam, just not enough tq to get it off the line. But on another note it will spin to 7300 rpms.

if you want to stick with the 2800 stall you will need a smaller cam... you could go with a tr220 or something maybe try to tr224 i dunno, but you probably would want to be spinning your engine regularly to 7300 rpm either

Well welcome to racing a truck, top end is always going to be a problem for us vs. more aerodynamic vehicles. My advice is not to take a close race any furthur than 80-90 mph because most cars will come by eventually. Probably help keep you out of trouble too.
