So ive made a couple post about metal in my oil and I believe it's the cam bearings so here Is my idea. I plan on buying cam bearings and installing them and while I'm at it pull my 212/218 and put a 220 cam in it, what is every ones thoughts

You will need a stall if you don't already have one. Why are you wanting to swap to a bigger cam? Are you lacking top end power? Why not take the money for a new cam and put some long tubes on it instead? Just a thought.

It will give you more power up top (4,000 rpm +) but you will lose power down low especially in a 4.8 which is why the stall is needed. If your not going to go with a 3200-3600 stall along with the cam swap then I would say its probably not worth it over the cam you already have. I am sure some others might disagree with me though, just my opinion.
