Now I'm having problems with pushrod length

I've had to run 7.25" pushrods in a few engines. Just depends on the combo.

If I remember correctly, the heads were milled originally to achieve my stock compression(10.1:1). I figured that would just make them the same thickness as my stock 317's. That could be a wrong assumption right there. Also they were just milled .009" to make sure they were straight and true.

What was the reason for making the PR had to be shorter? Milled heads?

head milling, base circle, block decking, rockers, and lifter model can all affect pushrod length. trust your measurement IMO. I may have a set of 7.250 pushrods laying around.
