Default New Cam!!!

I just got a cam... Finally!!! Its a 224/224 .580/.580 114Lsa... Now need to know what else I need.. I have dual Valve spring already... I know I need.. New push rods and seals.. Can I use stock retainers or get new ones? Also what else can I add to get more power outta this cam? Heads? LT's?

stock retainers are fine for your set-up, you'll need a new crank bolt though and a new water pump gasket.
cam and LTs will obviously compliment the cam. you having you PCM tuned accordingly right? if not it's not going to run well if it starts.

If you use the duals I think you need seats and retainers.

I have the seats.. Just was wondering about retainers... I know Ima go with long tubes.. Think ima go with pacesetters.. As of heads... I wanna get my stock heads worked.. Or should I look at LS1 or 6.0L heads and gettin them ported?.. Im going to have 2500 bucks to spend for LT's and heads...

good luck, i think with the ls1 or 6.0 heads its gonna mess with your compression ratios and stuff alot so you might have to get them worked on, if i was you i would take your heads somewhere and get them worked up and all based on the cam you have. your retainers shoudl workfine
