Cool Need some help

I have an 07 silverado classic,I just bought a camshaft. Is's a TSP 232/234 598/598 1800-6300 rpm.I know I will need to retune my truck and I am thinking of running a 2500 stall, but I don't know if thats big enough.I have some pacesetter lt's,tb spacer, and a cold air kit on the way. Does anyone know of anything else I might need to make this cam live in a 4.8 liter. Also what gears should I be running out back?, oh it's a crew cab. The cam is probably over kill I know .

That cam in a 4.8 in a crewcab? If you don't mind me asking, why so big?
Either way,if you run that cam I would say you will need atleast a 3600-3800 stall converter.A 2500 stall converter won't be enough for that cam in a 4.8 in a crewcab.

Holy BIG cam Batman!

You will need different valve springs and hardened pushrods for sure. Did you get the TSP cam package?

Does anyone know when they went from a 3 bolt pattern to a 1 bolt. Or can I just use the 1 bolt cam sprocket

'07 in the Gen IV. The '07 classic should still have the 3 bolt cam.

Also, the GEN IV has the cam position sensor in the front, where the GEN III has it in the rear. Im not 100% sure, but I think most of the one bolt cams are going to be GEN IV (cam position in front)
