I wanting to change out the current cam I have now for one that is more turbo friendly. 223/231 .610/.617 lift and 112 lsa. Cam has an awsome sound but would rather have one that will perform better. Its a 06 rcsb with 5.3 and rear-mount turbo setup.

Since it is a rear mount and probably has quite a bit of lag, installing a small duration cam will help to regain some low end torque. I would recommend our 220R on a 112.

 

Anything with less than 2 degrees of overlap.

 

Yep, or even a 212-212 or 215-215 cam. You dont need very much cam to make power with a turbo.

 

I was looking at a 230/230 on a 116 lsa. Im guessing this may be to big for my needs though?

 

yes. thats too much cam even for a N/A 5.3 IMO

a small duration cam goes a long ways in a turbo application. i would go with something under a 220 intake/exhaust duration to retain some low end power out of that engine.

 

I haven't gotten my turbo on yet, but so far im happy with how the Isky 212/.561/112 cam runs. Im still running stock trans, converter, manifolds and cats, this cam plus a .5 bump in CR and Im making pretty easily 30hp/30tq more than I was with tune, intake, and efans only.

Things will only get better with the turbo. Look up Stock48's posts on cams and what he's done personally. He proves you don't need more than a fairly mild cam to make great power and track times.
