If you already have the procharger then 425 will be easy as pie.

It all depends on what you are after, and what you are willing to sacrifice. How do you use the truck? How many miles per year?

There is someone selling a GT2-3 on here which is a great MILD boost cam if that is what you are after. Couple that with a 3000 converter, 8-10 PSI, and a set fo headers and you should have good manners with 425 hp to the wheels without even touching the heads.

If you are willing to get a little more aggressive something like a vinci trucker will give you much more mid range while giving you a more lumpy idle.

With goals like that there is no need for a head swap if you have a procharger.

The procharger puts about 5lbs to the motor .... the truck is a 5spd 2wd .... just looking for a kind of choppy idle .... it has headers and obiously ill be putting a good tune to it

Just buy a different pulley and up the boost a little. you will be much happier in the 8# range. I think the vinci trucker is right in your wheel house.

I have a buddy with the 210/218 on 112 from vinci in his N/a 5.3L and it has power all over the place and really wakes up top. So I agree on the vinci trucker cam being a good choice. I wouldn't say it is chopy, but has a nice consistent lope to it.

The stock heads are going to give you plenty of tq with those small runners also. There are tons of boost guys making over 500whp with the stock 5.3 heads. The stock heads are maxed on flow around .550-570ish

Yes, you need to upgrade valve springs and pushrods.
