Yup the trucker cam has a .551 max lift so almost any aftermarket springs will work even the ls6 springs which I think are good to a .570 now. Duel valve springs will be a little more noise and over kill for that lift.

If you keep the heads non milled and stock height gaskets that you can throw some 7.4" hardened pushrods in it, but if you mill the heads or use thinner than stock 0.051 gaskets you will need a push rod length checker to make sure the push rod will have proper pre load

The push rods will be around a $100 and the ls6 springs can be found for $60+/-

If you pull the heads might want to think about new lifters, trays, and ARP studs since that would be the perfect time to change all of them. I would say if they have less than a 100K keep the lifters, but over would be insurance to change

LSA is over lap of the intake duration and exhaust duration. The smaller the # the more chop the higher the smoother stock sounding chop and better idle and slight fuel millage. In general.... there is more to it than this, but that is for the designers.

112 LSA chopy
116 LSA smooth

It also depends on the intake and exhaust duration, If they are larger like 216/224 on 115LSA will have more chop than a 212/218 on 115LSA

I was looking into a comp cam kit with the 212/218 114LSA cam think that is a good sent up or is trucker a better way to go? Will those numbers give a good chop But not destroy gas mileage? either way thank you that helped a lot

I'm not a cam boost expert, but I know the trucker is a great supercharger cam, so I would assume it would be good for a procharger. I would say since you have boost go with the larger vinci. You would be trading off some low end compared to the 212/218, but the procharger will put it right back plus more.

The vinci 210/218 on 116Lsa actually improved my buddies 5.3L millage about 1-1.5 on the highway. I think almost any cam will hurt gas millage due to the valves being open farther and longer durations of time, but then again it could all be in the tune.

So how much lift should i be shooting for without destroying gas mileage? And how much larger should i go? I wanted a cam just to improve sound more or less....but obviously hp is the plan as well...what do you mean by a "boost cam" ... i can do mechanics but this is all new to me with internals

This is the article I read to understand cams a little more:

*** Cam Guide *** - LS1TECH

That should help you make sense of this stuff more.

I have to tell people, if you are worried about gas mileage, don't mod your engine. Either that or get a Prius.

lol so true

If you are worried about the gas millage, it won't be that much if it goes down. maybe you might loose 1 mpg city. The split pattern cams and higher lsa help bleed of cylinder pressure resulting in higher mpgs for smaller cams. The trucker is just above a small cam, if anything all your mpgs will be going when in boost and those injectors are pumping serious fuel into the motor with the more air being put in.
