NA heads for 6.0

No, It would actualy choke it down. The compression may go up a little, but the loss of intake and exhaust flow would hurt!! The valves are ALOT smaller. The Biggest bang for your buck would be the L92 Heads and Intake. The intake valve on these are 2.20!!

yeah, haven't really seen any L92 setups that impressed me. 5.3 heads do have a 1.89 intake valve but if they were replaced with even a stock 2.0 and ported they should be good. best bang for the buck would be a set of ls6 heads imo.

I would stay away from the l92's unless you are running 400+ inches. The cross sectional area is huge. I go for the smallest port with the best flow. Ported 5.3L heads with 2.00'' valves, or ported and milled l1, or ls6 heads should work well. My hand ported 317's flow 300 cfm @.600''.

L92's will be a good option when someone builds an Intake big enough to support their flow capability. Theres rumors of a Edelbrock Super Victor. 5.3 heads with a 2.0 valve will be a good option if you know how to select a proper cam. I know of a engine builder in Virgina that built a stock bottem end LQ4 with worked over 5.3's making over 600 RWHP! motor spins a ton though. Calls it a beer budget motor.

i run the lq9 6.0 with stage 2 patriot heads 706 castings 5.3, yes it will lift the compression up around 11:5:1, thinking about trying some l92 heads with the l92 intake, but wanna get some base lines on what i have now.. last time i ran was a 13.5 spinning alittle ( thanks flaco ) was a 13.5 but mail order tuned, now that wheatley has street tuned it, its time to see the big difference in tunes tonight..
these are my intentions:
right now it has the vic jr. i'll dyno it next week, then putting the tbss intake on, then dynoing it again, then i'll make a decission on going l92 or not, talked to speed engineering, trying to see what we can come up with as for a good or better combo

well got a dyno in with unlocked TQ, put down 402 and 363 torque this is with the vic jr intake
just ordered the l92 intake, and heads will be ordered this evening or friday, along with a new cam.. probably wont do the TBSS intake as i am anxiuos to see what the l92 setup will do...
