like the title says it is slow and needs some help.
my goal is 300 rwhp without fi or nos is this possible
i wanted 300rwhp and then a shot of 100 for when ever i needed it.
limited budget so that matters
wondering if this would do it

tune
exhuast- (magnaflow)
cai-volant


or would i need
cam
pushrods
rockers?

 

tune exhaust and cai wont do it. i say cam+heads+headers+intake+tune would do it.

 

I would say a 224/224 cam (know where you can get one), some ls1 heads that have been worked on (know where you can get some), cai, long tubes, no cats and some serious tuning. That will get you there.

I'm thinking about Taking the cats off my 2002 Chevy Avalanche 5.3L(Soon My Supercharger well be installed) I have Duel Exhaust--But no Headers...I'm wondering how much of a Difference well it make with no Cats??

No cats will help a lot, but it will be louder.

 

+ a stall with the cam and heads would blow the tires too

 

i had the same problem.

LS1 heads are going to drop your compression. Compression is ULTRA important. Never give it up unless you have to.

Ps; if you go heads/cam. I have my 4.8 heads you can send out to be worked to minimize downtime.

after an ebay SRI and dumped dynomax bullet i went straight to those. check the sig fro the cam specs...as far as im told its teh biggest cam ina 4.8 "go big or go home"...after i get this intalled im ordering another dynomax bullet, straight piping my cats and running true duals....dumped probably or exiting on each side before the rear tires.

than its e-fans and a tune...and tahn tires
