there's a guy on tech from a while back that put a MS3, MS4 or TSP Giant cam in a 4.8 while he was building up another motor . . . either way it was a huge cam with a 6-speed in a 4.8 . . . then again this was a F-body

I know a guy with a 228R in a 4.8 and it's a beast with a 3500 stall. It sounds NASTY too...and will get in the 13s no problem.

 

just saw this thread. take a look at the cam in my sig. she pulls way hard from 3k rpms all the way to 7300 where i have my rev limit set. just got some 4.88 gears in the mail and hoping to get some cam only times. id love to see what guys are doing for heads and intake combos on the 4.8's. my idle vid is in the special edt. vehicles section. take a look if your curious as to what itll sound like.
