Default Motor is apart what should i do?

So, #2 exhaust lifter got chewed up along with the cam. LQ9 has almost 100k miles so I'm gonna go through it.
Obviously, I'm getting a new cam, oil pump, lifters, gaskets, rings, bearings, blah, blah blah.
But my question is should i go ahead and do forged pistons and rods? Head studs?
I will be keeping the stock 317 heads with patriot springs. Will probably not be running much boost maybe 10 psi max but probably more around 7 psi. So will stock pistons and rods be ok or should i spend the extra $$ and go forged? I will be building the motor myself. Its a Turbonetics T-76 turbo and a freshly built 4L65E in a big *** Escalade ESV.

Stock **** should be fine. I ran 15#s and a 75 shot on my 05' with the stock motor for a good while. So if your only gonna run 10#s then stock ****. My 07' has rods and pistons with head bolts with 12#s but wanting to turn the boost up but cant get a tranny to hold up. Bullshit 6L80. I wana swap to a 4L80

funny. i know the 6l80e is a relatively new tranny but companies are making hd parts for them and should be able to build it up as tough as the 4l80e. wish you luck with it

I dont know of anyone making hard parts. I have already had RPM Transmissions build it but i have only found people that only have upgraded clutches. So if you have any info please let me know. Keeping in mind that my truck weighs 7800#s which is about double that of a camaro or corvette that these companies are building these trannies for

I'd would think that if you know your not gonna go past 10lbs of boost you could stick with the stock pistons and rods, unless you know your gonna throw more boost at it at some point. I would do ARP studs for the heads though.

Yeah i would love to build it to handle plenty of boost, but i know i would end up in Ryan's boat of having lots of power with no tranny to hold it combined with the weight of my boat.

I'd do good pistons on stock rods and crank. ARP rod bolts, mains and head bolts would be on the list too... No need for studs in anything less than 18psi-ish...
