Melling 10296 vs. 10295

If you switch to ls7 lifters the pressure will go up, DOD lifters kill oil pressure. The stock L92 pump when used in non DOD engines has to have a different spring put in it since it puts out so much pressure. Id say your oil pump is fine but with the rpm youre turning with the DOD lifters is whats killing your pressure up top.
How does that 3600 converter feel in the 6l80e?

its not the DOD lifters which are in there.. they were VVT lifters :

im using the Comp RS 875-16 at the moment..
the converter is amazing seriously a joy to drive... really amazing from a dig as well as when shifting it really pulls hard i feel ive got all the torque in the world its insane haha , i have the 3600 stall from circle D the triple disk.. really happy with it if i need any stall in the future circle D is the way ill go

If you're putting this in a 6.2L I'd recomend the 296 which is the large case pump. This is the replacement for the large body D.O.D. oil pump. Now if I recall the 6.2L doesn't have D.O.D. anyway, but that big pump will fix your problem.
