Been lurking for awhile but it's time to plan my build. I have a supercharged 2013 Sierra AWD with a 6.2 thats fairly stock. Kenne Belle blower and a small cam with full bolt on. Some port and polish as well. I need fuel, a rebuild and a transmission. It runs but I want to RIP it up and I can't with all this stock equipment! So I have never built an engine nor tranny but I will learn come hell or high water. I have no idea what to do but I know there's alot of it I want to do and with limited cash relative to the build I gotta make ends meet somewhere. 1.5k is going into new custom leather for the interior. I think the trans might cost 4.5k and the motor I have no clue. I need titanium valves, rockers, bigger cam, pistons, sleeves, maybe a crank and some odd and ends. I think a better timing tensioner and definitely a dual pump setup for fuel with a meth kit. Alot I know, but I don't expect it overnight, although I have free food and beer for anyone who wants in. If you have resources that could help or want to chime in please do so. I don't want a shop to do all my work I like doing it myself so I need to know how, what and why. Hoping to get as close to 1000 with the KB on it. Turbos next?

Haha NEED is such a strong word I would lean more towards want. The KB is a 2.8L and I am fairly certain it won't make it all the way to 1000 just want it to get close. I do want a turbo setup later but if I do that it's because I am going to net at least 1200 if not it's not worth it. Turbos are much easier on the bottom end. That belt whipping around causes bad harmonics on the bearings. I want to hit 100k mi no problem vs having pieces fall out so I want it free revving and stout. Not sure where I stand in relation to achieving these goals but like anything determination wins out. I really love my truck so I want it to be ironed out

Honestly with 1000hp you won’t be drivable like you think lol
imho it would be Better if you buy an older truck to turn it in to a monster , if I were to turbo something and go for broke I’d start out with a 03-05 2500hd w/lq4 6.0 motor comes factory with 9:5:1 compression and has beefy bottom end plus the drive train is pretty stout has 4:10 gears aswell .. aswell as the 4l80e and nvg 149

The truck is not currently my daily I have a plain truck for that.
Affords me some nice time to build and plan easier.
