They arent needed on an iron block, alot of the LS2 stroker guys use them for power numbers north of 1000, or nitrous motors.

oh yeah...I knew they were for the aluminum blocks...guess I should've clarified what I was asking...
Is anyone with a forced induction, LSx aluminum block running one of these?

Never seen the need for one on these motors. All marketing IMHO, but hell I bought a Dyson!

I'd probably go look at that consumer reports article.
Are the Kirby's still good stuff?

I think 427 on tech commented on the girdle some time ago. I'd search his posts.
