Default LSA Crankshaft

i bought a LSA Forged crankshaft trying to figure out what bearings ill need to run most forged cranks need the chamfered ones

Are the rod journals rolled up in the corner? Most aftermarket tri-metal high performance bearings are going to have the chamfered edge... I know the clevite ms2199h mains and clevite cb663hn rod bearings have the necessary clearance/chamfered edge for forged cranks

Okay.... Well, all the high performance bearings have the extra clearance for the chamfered edges

I'm ordering one on Friday when I get back home! What rods are you running, and who's doing your converter setup?

i ordered mine the other night but have to wait 7-10 days for the shipping or pay 60 bucks for 3 day shipping

I'm running eagle H-beams with ARP-2000 bolts

converter is a yank PT2800 triple disk 10.5 its been working really good with my setup so far so i plan on leaving it

i bought clevite 77 bearings the p series

I ask on the converter, because the lsa crank has the 8 bolt design where the flexplate mounts to the crank... No biggie, because the factory lsa flexplate is super stout and only $50 brand new! But, the six bolt pattern on the lsa flexpkate, where the converter bolts to, is a little diffrent than the regular 80e flexplate six bolt pattern... It's either a little larger or smaller.... Atleast this is what Chris at circle d told me... Said it was no big deal to put a lsa billet cover on the converter, so I could run everything with the lsa crank and factory Gm lsa flexplate...

Rob AKA VORTEC350SS is running a LSA crank he did a 8 bolt flex plate his 80E converter mounted up no issues

I don't know? Chris at circle d told me I would have to use the ctsv billet front cover on my converter because it was a diffrent width 6 bolt mounting pattern for the lsa flexplate.... Compared to the 80e 6 bolt mounting pattern? Hell, maybe he was wrong about the converter patterns being diffrent?

Nope chris is right now that I think about it... my converter was built with only 3 mounting pads and 3 bolt holes on each one. I believe the LSA flex plate is made with the 60e diamater with 6 mounting pads.

If you have a 80e converter made with a 60e 3 bolt base you will be fine.

Now as far as what you should do Kurt... that's another question.
