Default The LS9 in photographic detail

Here's an exploded view of the LS9/R2300 engine:

Individual parts photos here: http://jalopnik.com/337672/detroit-a...ful-ls9-engine

Notice that the crank pulley is now keyed. Wonder if the 11 rib setup can be made to work on a truck?

If you wanted to utilize the entire accessory drive I don't see why not... with a custom aftermarket harmonic balancer but might have to come up with a custom front blower drive for correct alignment. With the factory dry sump, and its dual rotar setup, it requires a special offset balancer. So, you couldn't just use the balancer shown and expect everything to line up with a regular ole oil pump. F-Body guys went through the same thing trying to adapt the LS7 with their accessory drive. ATI wound up making a special offset balancer for them.

What will be interesting is if the blown truck motor will actually make it to market. Pics shown below. I could see THAT accessory drive being a bit more adaptable...

The article does state that GM has a few more blower motors in the works.
