ls6 cam on a 5.3???

Well...I personally have never had any issue with customer service with them. However I have heard of a few stories...yours included. It does really suck what happened to you. But I wouldnt steer people away from a good product because of a couple of cases where comp wouldnt fix a mistake that wasnt necessarily their's.

Im not reffering to just the springs....there has been many issues with the older 918's, but when you push parts to the limit and max them out they will only last so long. You cannot expect a valve spring rated to .600 lift to last very long when running a .600 lift cam is all im saying. Just trying to be realistic about any performance part. It's not always the suppliers parts that are bad...sometimes it's the decision you make.

Unfortunately I've heard many a story about crappy customer service from Comp. To bad too, because they usually have a good product aside from their valve springs over the last few years. I've been doing my best to avoid their products on principle alone, my next cam is going to be a Vinci (I want a Stangbanger for my LQ9, if they're still available now that Crane went under)

Bringing it back from the dead.
anyone here have any feedback that is running a 5.3l with the ls6 (what year cam)
I am getting ready to put this cam on a 5.3l with a carb set-up.
I have all the parts sitting on the shelf. and just want feed back from people who have this set up.
