Default !!!LS3 427 STROKER Truck Engine Build & Pics!!!

***I MOVED THIS THREAD HERE TO TRY AND GET SOME IMPUT***
Ok so after 17000 miles on the new L92 in the signature, i sold my LT1 Trans Am, and with the money I bought a LS3 based stroker.
My new setup consist of a LS3/ L92 block, Scat crank, Scat rods, Probe Pistons, a set of TEA stage two L92/LS3 heads with the double springs, ti retainers, and 73cc combustion chambers. Lunati cam, Comp short travel lifters, Yella Terra Rockers, MSD coils, melling hi vol/press pump, and I am finally gonna put the Vig 2800 multi converter in when we change the engine out. Truck still has stock 3.42 gearing with the 6L80 trans. I will also be stepping up from the 1 3/4 OBX headers to a Kooks 1 7/8 header, same Magnaflow 3 1/2 cat back.

There are a few things I would like to get opinions on, like throttle body, intake, thoughts on injector needs, and what do you guys think happens to a cruise @ 83 17 mpg and cruise at 70 corrected almost 18 mpg fuel economy.
Also I think this subject has been addressed before, the actual effectiveness of the truck L92 intake. I have seen flow numbers of heads being flowed with the truck intake compared to the LS3 intake with heads bolted; but has anyone actually swapped and know if there are any tradeoffs in low end torque with truck intake and FAST car intake. Also is there a method of porting the truck intake to accept the 102 mm throttle bodies? Only want to buy a throttle body once. My cam timing is mild to keep torque everywhere in the rpm range, but I would like to make the best of the ported heads I have had TEA port for me. Spoke with LS2 portworks but our intake is no longer availablke as a porting option through him, what do you guys think? Also I have saw where LS7 users are making 630+ hp with a stock injector, how does our L92 injector compare to the LS3 or LS7 injector. What do you guys think. I have 4 days to get these few options figured out, as I plan to finish the assembly and get this engine swapped out by next weekend.
Thanks guys for any thoughts, or your own experiences!!

Oh and to answer others question on the l92; it is $3000.00 and you can locally pick it up or i can ship it freight collect to you on a truck. Please pm me with questions or concerns with the l92 engine that is for sale, as far as what all is included.
Thanks

I made 504whp with the following:
Stage 3 LS3 intake
ported LS3 TB
Stock LS3 42lb injectors
Lightly ported L92's
11.5 to 1 Diamond Pop-ups
231/239 614/624 114+2
1 7/8th LT's
Single 4 inch exhaust
SD tuned by me.

This was with a T56 and 5.13 gears.
