Default LS2 vs 4.8 Valley cover on DOD delete

Any advantage to running ls2 valley cover. Besides pcv vent and plastic inside cover, do I even need that vent? I seen the ls2 cover in most dod kits that's why I got it. Later found out the 4.8 one can be used for a third of the price. I read the ls2 cover provides a better pcv system but wanted more input.

I'm running the 4.8 cover with no problems.
