My sprockets at 180K were just fine. I went to an adjustable t-chain so I had to replace the top sprocket but didnt feel like pulling the bottom and I had no issues at 6800rpm.

what is the difference in LS2 chain vs a 90 dollar double roller chain with sprockets i think

The LS2 chain is a single roller as is the stocker, the double roller looks like two timing chains stuck together side by side. The sprockets are totally different from one to the other. The double provides added strength. but is a bit overkill on a stock NA 5.3 IMO even with a bit of nitrous. This is why im just gonna stick to the LS2. Its fairly inexpensive and it can handle all the power a NA 5.3 has to offer.

i was just thinkin i could get it for a little added tensile strength and thightness, where did you get the LS2 chain? seems like a viable option as long as it would fit on the 5.3

i jsut looked and its only 20 bucks cheaper.... i dunno i might just stick with the double who knows
