Ok, so i'm about 4-6 months away from starting to collect engine parts yay Well hopefully if the Money gods are nice to me hehe.

So im putting together a engine in my head, and since it will probably take several months to put it together i'm gonna build one out of a new block that way i still got a working truck in the meantime.

Basically, i've decided on using the LS2 block as a starting point, and really the only technical issue i've seen is the Knock sensors. I know its only a matter of time before someone gets some LS1 KS' working on the LS2's. But in the meantime, is it possible to use a LS6 valley cover on the LS2 blocks and just go from there?

I know some are just turning off the sensors on their LS1 -> LS2 conversions, but with my heavy *** truck thats a no-no.

So anyone know anything that i havent already mentioned about these darned knock sensors???
