I popped my LS1 and I'm trying to piece together decient motor for a temp replacement using things I have laying around just to drive the car till I can afford to build the one I want.

Its going into my 02 SS Camaro.

That is a considerable amount of cam for a 5.3, expect max power at 6800+ RPM with a good intake and exhaust. As for clearance it is definitely going to be tight. You can leave a little extra on the head and try to run a Cometic .030 or .040 allowing you to run a stock .054 if PTV clearance is too tight.
