lq4 rod question

Not Sure if I took long enough, but I actually rememberd to get those pictures...

The Rod on the right in all 3 pictures is the newer LS2 Style rod.

thanks for the pics to compare!
got the rodbolts in without a problem. did them one at a time and torqued 3 times. just waiting on the heads now so i can continue.

It's a term that's used meaning to break in the threads. Tooling wears the more threads you cut. The reason you burnished them is so the threads on the 2 parts wear together creating a more equal contact area for the fastner. This will allow it to get a more accurate torque reading.

Good to hear!
Budhayes was curious also on how to tell the difference and I promised him I would get those up. I've been so busy I totally forgot until I got involved in this top secret junk yard project...
