Don't want a all out drag truck already have that just want a good light to light runner, don't really care about fuel mileage have another car in the works for that, let me know something guys, later.
I would go with the 2k vette cam, no lose in lowend and great cam, 198 207 500 500 115.5. JMO

Does it sound like it would be a good combo in my truch? I think it is in the duration range that you guys were talking about and yes I am going to put a stall in the truck cause the trans really needs to be built, later.

That is what I am doing in my 5.3 for my 2001 S10. With stock heads and all it puts the DCR at a healthy 8.3:1 (10.3:1 static). It should idle like stock, with no need for a higher stall converter.

Plus, I happen to have one laying in a box in my garage already (OK, that's the real reason I am using it, it's free).

That cam sure does sound purdy. A little better than the 200 208 .502 .502 I was eyeballing.Say- stupid question, doesn't the wider lobe separation dictate a higher RPM camshaft? I know a closer LSA gives ya a lope which isn't what I'm after anyhow. THanks guys, I learn truckloads everytime I come here.........
