was thinking about a project and was wondering something. has anyone ever tried to put l92 heads on their ls1 or ls6? i know they say dont use them on less than a 4" bore, but has anyone tried it just to be sure?

 

I don't think they will work. They require 4" bore minimum.

 

i know the requirement. just wonder if anyone has physically tried it.

 

If you like your valve crashing into the wall then by all means try it.

not worried bout it now. gonna get a 6.0l instead of building a 5.7l

 

Why can't you notch some valve reliefs into the top of the cylinder wall like on the old Chevy big block 396's? I would be more concerned about valve shrouding more than anything though. There are a lot better head choices out there than the L92 heads anyways. Look how they used to do it:
