no for us it is a different story.
we are not building stock 5.7 motors.
8.1 injectors or higher, change out the fuel rails, and an after market regulator that can be set.

 

What am I looking at for a complete swap to 8.1L injectors and why those over something else?

 

the 8.1 truck or the marine injectors are a direct swap as far as fit. all you have to adjust is the tune. i would bet you could probably squeak by with your stock ones after looking at your build inchup. especially sice you won't be seeing much full load high rpm's.

 

Think so? I hope so, I wasn't planning on changing the fuel setup. Did you read through my 5.7L thread I have going?

 

well looks like I am at 95% IDC at 6300 rpm so I think before to long I may be looking for injectors, but at least I am not over 100% like I thought I would be.
