so im building a 6.0 for my rcsb truck its a stock LQ4 short block, im planning on using my stock 5.3 heads with GM MLS head gaskets and a im considering a TSP 228/228 .588 .588 on a 112, the cam is probley my major concern, so some of yall that have built 6.0s please chime in and give me your knowledge.

thanks,

I think it is a great cam, you could possibly even run a little more cam. I am building the Wood Hauler's 408, and I will be using TSP's 232/236, .595/.598 on 113 LSA Torquer cam. I could probably run more than that, but with the truck intake I think anything bigger would just be a waste because I don't think the truck intake could keep up with much more than that up in the higher rpms.

We will just have to see. The truck intake is plenty capable IMO.

I would look into some different heads. It would take some good work to get them to flow near what the stock 317 heads do.

I think it works good, but above 5500 I don't know how good it's gonna work.
