Junkyard 5.3 will do 800 flywheel easy. Last time I was at the track on 16 psi the hp calculator on drag times had me at 743 flywheel power.

Why not run a boost cam and pulley down? Might not make 800 hp, but still a big difference.

That's definitely an option still. I'm just not sure if the blower can cut it. Besides I have about 50k on this blower and I was thinking I should retire it lol

To get you to the 800 hp mark, ESP in that heavy *** tank, you are going to need a BUILT trans, hardened input and out put shafts ect. I wouldn't be surprised if you have $10k plus in getting to that number in that particular app after it's all said and done, i am being on the light side.

That's kind of what I figured.. I'm willing to put in approx 15k to get this done right but this is my first Chevy build and I don't really have a lot resources locally. Do you have any recommendations on the trans? Do you send it out or can I buy a rebuild kit and have it done locally?

I doubt that any one will be able to build you one local to you but I do not know where you are lol. So more then likley have to have it sent out and done. You will be close to that figure if your looking for 800 to the wheels. Why not drive one of the cars in your sig? You need to start new thread in the show and sine, share some info on the other stuff you have.

Oh shoot I thought I put my location in.. I'm in Massachusetts and most of the Chevy guys around here tune stand alone systems and are so biased. My other toys are unfortunately seasonal and I go through serious withdrawals during the off seasons lol. Ill start a thread in show and shine even though they are fords lol.

Is the LY6 engine a 6.0? And do I have to put pistons and rods in it to handle 800hp?
