RCSB Z71 ran 15.5, but would've beat a 14 sec truck before I blew the motor. Mods. LS1 fans, P&P heads, 218/224 cam P&P TB, 3.73's K&N drop in I think thats it. To get high 12's I would have needed CAI, Stall (in the mail ) Shift kit and ??

Maybe an 11 second truck pulling you across the line. I don't know, I don't think there are too many 4.8 guys even in the low 13's yet, so 12's and 4x4, you'd probably need a miracle without forced induction of some sort. I'm not saying that it can't be done, but it would be a huge cam, I do mean huge, huge stall, the best heads money can buy, everything to be perfectly flow matched, an *** load of weight reduction, basically a gutted stripper truck. Plus, the internal would have to be worked on.

Wouldn't be a very drivable truck to say the least, and the cost alone would kill ya. But thats just my 2 cents.

With my 5.3 ec 4x4 on motor I will probably be in the mid 13s with a block bored .030 forged pistons cam in sig 3400 stall full bolt ons including lt headers and shorter tires along with cold weather. I dont think you can do it with fi or nitrous or going to a bigger motor. You could get a high 13 realistically and still be driveable then spay it for a 12 second pass. I ran the time in my sig with a 100 shot and 80ish degree weather. You need to look into all the bolt ons, 3000 stall, a sizeable cam 220ish range and the supporting valvetrain stuff, and nitrous kit to keep it driveable everyday and haul ***. Thats just my .02

Thx for helping. Therefore, it will cost me a lot to get this time. What about if it is 5.3 4X4? Is it same mods as listed above? I am new one in this forum so I do not know too much about some words like (reg cab) what does mean?

Just for comparison...I'm expecting a mid-13 run, mods in signature below. I think I would need a bigger stall, more weight reduction, and a significant reduction in intake temps to even come close to 12's.

Reg cab = regular cab, short cab, whatever you want to call it. The cab ends right after the doors, no back seat.

What motor do you have right now? It sounds like you have a 4.8 but might be considering a swap?? If you go for a swap and are going to stay N/A your best bet would be to go with an LQ9 motor from an Escalade or Silverado SS. Still wouldn't get you 12's, but you would have a stronger base to start from. I think I would be a 12 second truck with the mods in sig and a LQ9.

Or if you really want to have some fun, get the LS7 from the C6 Vette Z06....I would love to see one of those swapped into a truck.
