I would probably just get a used 6.0 block. Get a stroker crank, forged rods, and pistons. You can mill the 317 from the 6.0 heads to raise the compression and keep your cam. I think that set up would be good for 425-450rwhp. The ls6 manifold will require you to run car accessories and minor modifications to the brackets I think.

And an L92 water pump...

I didnt know you could do that with an ls1 waterpump.. The vettes did have bolt on pulleys though.

Nick did my tuning and alky kit.. But I dont think he likes to do engine assembly. He usually buys assembled short blocks and puts them together from the heads up.

Did johny get his car back yet?

Having just done too much homework on pistons than I wanted to u might wanna go with something other than the diamonds depending on what size motor u build. They tend to have a little shorter skirt than I like, and they also have a little less clearance tolerance. I think it has to do with their internal construction and bracing that permits more expansion thru the stroke and heat cycle I'm no expert, and many have had success with them, but its more a function on longevity. After much research Probe/JE wud be my first choice. Eagle has a decent stroker kit with JE pistons for $2625.
