I think he just had custom forged pistons.

I put down 445/489 with a stock long block, cam and Radix.

Ya, 8ALTNG got into the 530's or 40's I think, but he had custom forged pistons cuz no one makes a off the shelf piston for a 4.8 and he had good rods too.

I'm making 505rwhp and 533rwtq on a small cam and stock motor at 12 psi, meth and pump gas. I think I could get a little more out of it, but I don't think my mostly stock 4l60e would like it . I'm surprised it's still alive That and my 43lbs injectors are maxed, so I'd have to put the 60 I have in it, or spray a lot more meth.
