Default help with my cam installation

im swaping my cam on my lq9 im ready to take the cam out i installed the 5/16 wood rod but the lifters are still sliding down and the 3/8 rod will not fit in any help will be appreciated

Use the lifter trays if they will work at all. Spin the cam with the push rods out and try and "sling" the lifters into the trays. I used aluminum rods, the 5/16 rod required a flat ground down one side to slide in.

i put the 5/16 rod all the way in but the first lifter on the right and the last one on the left still fall the 3/8 rod ii did the flat ground on one side but i only got it half way i might grind it a little more see if that will work

they were $1.50 i think... and you always need a magnet.
Helps with valve spring installs too
