After playing around with a CR calculator, the final CR with these heads, LS9 gaskets, and the pistons Im going with, will result in around a 9:1 ratio. Should do well for FI.

Go at least 9.5:1 Jake.

I'm going to build 10:1 if I ever can afford it.

What number did you use for the LS9 compressed thickness in your CR calc?

9.1:1 is fine if you are going to throw a bunch of boost at it. I think AK was saying to go higher so it doesn't feel like a turd DD out of boost. However, in a RCSB you will probably still be fine. I went 10.4:1 but a Tahoe is a little heavier than a RCSB

Yeah it was around 9.2:1 give or take, so I thought that would be alright. Some info I've found on the LS9 head gaskets compressed is that they're around .040-.052. I plan to get the LS3 heads worked over some, so it will probably be closer to 9.3-9.5:1 in the long run.

Roger is a god amongst men when it comes to blown ls engines, so he's probably right

Not going to tell me? Guess I need to go get some tylenol pm's. Going to be hard to sleep tonight.
