Default Help me build a cam...

I am in need of a cam as my next mod... I am looking for something in the 220-226 range for duration. and .570's-.580's lift on either a 113 or 114 LSA... I cant get it down to the specifics though at this point. significant mods are as follows:

100-150 wet shot
Patriot valve springs (good for .600)
LS2 chain
Pacesetter LT's
3" ORY w/ dual 3" cutouts
3" single exhaust, resonator only, dumped
3200 PI converter
FLT-5 65E
4.10's
255/65-16 tire
and the usual other bolt ons...
race weight is right at 4000lbs

I know you dont have to put a ton of duration in these motors to make them respond... I dont mind my truck shaking its *** off at a red light or idling at 900 RPM... I have had cammed big blocks before, it doesnt bother me.... I havent had any experience first hand at living with a cammed GEN 3 though...
This will be a custom grind probably from Comp or Ed Curtis unless you guys have advice otherwise... let me know what you think.
-Sorry for the kazillionth cam thread but I need help building a custom grind. I dont want an off-the-shelf cam for this thing. and I dont want to pull it to go bigger later.

IMO the jury is still out on the edcurtis cams, havent seen anyone with a truck yet get good results from them. PM me if you want a guy who custom grinds cams with his own lobes and grinds for GMPP. He is ALOT cheaper than most of the other "custom" grinders.

I know if it were my truck, I'd actually keep the exhaust duration a tad small despite the 150 shot you have planned. Reason being, you can increase the size of the shot by adjusting the jets. You can't adjust power NA... If you design a cam too much around nitrous for small shots, what you end up doing is sacrificing your all motor performance.... which sucks. Plus with dual cut-outs right after some pacesetters. That **** is flowing.

I'd first find out where my shift extensions are and try and learn where I'm going to be at for the majority of the quarter mile. ie 3000-6000, 4000-6500, 5500-6000... Whatever it is, all that duration split and LSA/ICL needs to be picked accordingly.

very true..
I havent had a chance to run it and find out what the extensions are exactly yet but I with this stall, it does keep the RPM's up very well... the closest I can tell its somewhere close to 3800-6400...

as far as the LSA goes, I see you run a 108 with a shot... I know you did your homework before having it ground... how did you come up with that number? I was thinking 111 or 112 for mine... and just as you said, I definitely dont want to sacrifice N/A power for power on the bottle...

Isn't general rule of thumb more duration for N2O and less for supercharger/turbo...
