I am wondering my self on what heads to go with on a 418 or 427 build that should start in a month or 2. I have a set of Patriot stage 2 ls6 heads but I thought with the larger bore I may go with new heads. Just not sure if I want cnc'd l92's or something else.

I'd say it really depends on how much you want to spend. On a 7.0L LS7 heads would be the way to go for sure because of the bigger bore. Supersub ran the bigger valve heavily ported L92 heads with L92 (truck style) intake and made decent power on his 7.0L though. On a 418, I'd go with the L92 heads for sure.

Im just looking for some options, I noticed the L92 heads were cheaper, The short block will be running right at 6,000.00, but the builder as let me pay as we go. I haven't made any type of commitment yet but I will have about 2000.00 to put down in about month.
